Highlights•Cardiac POCUS assisted in the assessment of left ventricular function in a case of dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure in a symptomatic patient with COVID-19 infection.•Limited TTE confirmed the clinical suspicion of acute pulmonary embolism in context of a deep vein thrombosis in a patient with COVID-19 infection.•Critical Care Echocardiography demonstrated acute myocardial injury and the presence of thrombus in a critically ill patient with COVID-19 infection and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
