Highlights•Outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been identified by World Health Organization as a global pandemic.•There is an urgent need to identify safe and effective drugs or potential adjuvant therapy in this regard.•Oleoylethanolamide (OEA) may be considered as a novel potential adjuvant pharmacological alternative for the management of COVID-19.•OEA via its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties may be effective in the management of coronavirus infected subjects.
